too bad AB still has his hard-on for SM...grrrrr
SM is getting way too much face time....h~e~l~l~o we've all seen the wicked side of Bill and Lorena before boring...move it along already  what it had to be said.... tired of Bill and his little dramas hogging all the long scenes:tongue3:

Just finished watching it
I wish there'd been more Eric... Sookie was stupid. I mean, her total disregard for Alcide's feelings? The way she manipulated him, it left me a bit cold. :tongue3:
Pam was a bit off for me. I'd have imagined it would take more to make her scream.
Sam has issues. Arlene was right, he takes in too many strays. Like him a lot though :sexytime:
Eric was...daydreaming in the middle of the night? And it seemed a bit like a corny love movie to me...Where is the Viking? :vikingax:
Jessica and Hoyt. The typical teenage romance. The misunderstandings, the longing...its so CUTE! and strange in the adult type world of True Blood.
Franklin Mott I like. Sorry but I have a fascination with S&M. He is badass!
Last ( and least :tongue3: ) Bill...The phone call? YOU DOUCHE! Getting in touch with your dark side on the hand, Was kinda nice. I mean he isn't that boring now as he was before. As I said on Facebook though "Bill wanted to screw Sookie like he did Lorena? Now I really am going to be sick..."

Lets face it, Alexander Skarsgård can make everything from tracksuits and flip flops to cement sexy. The man is a god.

I totally agree about Eric and Lafayette (loved the RuPaul reference ) , and I am really liking James Frain as Franklin Mott.

I did yell out one time at the tv when Alcide told Sookie he was going to put a shirt on. That man should never wear a shirt imho. :embarrassed:

I'll post more later, but after having some time to think about it the biggest issue I have is that now we'll have Eric going after Bill to save Pam. Of course this has the potential of making Bill out to be even more the victim/martyr. :tongue3:

Oh, and I found all of the scenes with Sookie to be extremely boring.

I liked the episode, but I agree with the others that there are scenes in the book that would have worked perfectly fine in the show, that AB simply will not ..admit to maybe? It's his show, blah, blah, blah, but ...I still can't get past nazi werewolves. Like werewolves aren't bad-ass enough, we have to throw in vamp blood and nazis :tongue3:
I agree on Franklin Mott- he is a scary vamp, and I like it :sexytime:
And Bill, we know he isn't being cold, we know he's saving Sookie the only way he can. He is unwillingly getting back in touch with his bad-side. But I don't like it- the self-sacrifice, the undying love :tongue3: .
I'm trying to remember, in the book, why was Russel in the werebar?
Clearly Laf and Eric together are brilliant. Thank goodness AB kept that character in the story.
Jason blackmailing Andy...that just seems way out-of-character for him. I know he's a bit desperate and jealous at the moment, but that seems even to be a stretch for him.
Given the whole Eric day-dream sequence (which I didn't mind, but I thought it was unnecessary), does that mean we aren't getting Eric flying to Alcide's and him going in through the window? I love that scene in the book- Alcide standing cross-armed in the bedroom doorway with just his pant bottoms, and Eric floating outside...*sigh*...and doesn't he give her blood in that bedroom?
And AB's Debbie Pelt seems to be as dumb as a bag of rocks- just really trashy. That's NOT how I read book Debbie- at all. What the hell did Alcide see in tv Debbie? yikes.

God, I liked this episode SO much better than the last one. Coherent storylines, good writing, no one out of character (too much)...sigh.

Reading the thread, I see I'm alone with my thoughts. ( )
To me this was an excellent episode.

I think this was a very good episode compared to last week. As much as I don't care for Sam's family and the Nazi werewolves, I like how the other storylines are developing. I have to admit it is hard for me not to compare scenes in the show to the book , and that's where AB repeatedly disappoints.

what it always seems to come down to is: this episode was better than S2 in it's entirety or better than sht we've seen thus far in the season...no episode can seem to stand on it's own merit, it comes down to comparisons of previous epis or what happened in the book...if AB wouldn't mess with me and simply state, yes, TB is loosely based on the S.S.M. books and leave it at that, don't pull that 'artistic vision crap' i'd be able to handle it..instead he throws us the proverbial bone and then beats us with it~bastard!

i don't like the nazi weres either. and they were so out of control, it seemed kinda silly. why alcide would even like debbie pelt is beyond my comprehension. :tongue3:

very, very nice...eric floating outside sookie's window & fantasizing about her. I WANT THE REAL THING THOUGH. at least it was HIS dream & not hers. :hurray: eric/laffy....cool. the whole show is about eric & alcide for me now. oh, and i like sam's little brother. i think he's kinda hot, in a different way. :naughty:

tara.....getting old, honey. like mott. want to see the queen DEAD. i like bill. i thought he looked kinda sexy. he needs to be a bad boy, not grandpa sookie protector. he should stay w/lorena...lol.

i liked the epi overall, but wish it were more like the books. :)
